This policy explains what information Toonizer collects when you use toonizer.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what choices you have. Toonizer is run from Izmir, Türkiye. We follow the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) and, for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the GDPR.

2. What we collect

• Photos you upload. When you use the cartoon generator, the photo you choose is sent to our AI provider to create your image.
• Generated images and prompts. The image we create for you and the prompt or style you chose.
• Account details. If you register: your username, email address and password (stored in encrypted form). If you sign in with another service such as Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile details from that service, such as your name, email address and profile picture.
• Messages. What you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Technical and usage data. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how many images you generate.
• Cookies. See section 8 and our Cookie Policy.

3. Why we use it

• To create the images you ask for and provide the site (needed to provide the service).
• To feature selected images in the public gallery (see section 4).
• To manage accounts and apply generation limits.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse, for example the use of several accounts to get around limits (our legitimate interest).
• To answer your messages.
• To measure how the site is used and to show ads (with your consent where the law requires it).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos to train AI models.

4. The public gallery

Images made with the cartoon generator are not published automatically. From time to time we choose some of them by hand to feature in the community gallery on toonizer.com, where anyone can see them. A featured image may still be recognisable as you or as the person in the photo. We do not feature images that appear to show children.

If you do not want your images to be featured, or want a featured image removed, email contact@toonizer.com with a link to the image. We will remove it as soon as possible. If you appear in an image someone else created, you can ask for its removal in the same way.

5. Who we share data with

• OpenAI (United States) processes the photos and prompts you submit in order to create images. According to OpenAI’s API policies, data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default and may be kept for a limited time to monitor abuse.
• Google provides advertising (Google AdSense), site statistics (Google Analytics) and the consent message shown to visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland.
• Our hosting and email delivery providers, which store and send data on our behalf.
• Sign-in services you choose to use, such as Google or Facebook.
• Public authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers are located outside Türkiye and the EU, mainly in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the safeguards the providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

If you order a custom character from our Etsy shop, the order and payment are handled by Etsy under its own privacy policy.

6. How long we keep data

• Uploaded photos and generated images are stored on our server. Images featured in the gallery stay there until you ask us to remove them. You can ask us to delete your photos and images at any time.
• Account details are kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
• Messages are kept as long as needed to answer and follow up.
• Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.

7. Ads and rewarded features

Toonizer is free and is supported by ads from Google AdSense. Some features may offer extra generations in exchange for viewing an ad. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads. Personalised ads are shown only with your consent where the law requires it.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to run the site, for example to keep you signed in, and, with your consent where required, cookies for statistics and advertising. Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google and can change their choice later through the privacy settings link on the site. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or limit how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Under KVKK you also have the rights listed in Article 11 of the law.

To make a request, email contact@toonizer.com. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EU and UK, to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

Toonizer is not intended for anyone under 16, and you must be at least 16 to create an account. If you are a parent or legal guardian, you may upload photos of your own children to make images for personal use, such as family cards. Images that appear to show children are never featured in the gallery. Please do not upload photos of other people’s children.

11. Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to stored data is limited. No online service can guarantee complete security, so please do not upload anything you would not want to risk being exposed.

12. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
