AI Christmas Card Generator
Your Photo, Holiday Style
Upload a selfie, a family photo or a picture of your pet and turn it into an
illustrated Christmas card. Pick a style, add your own greeting
afterwards, and send it by message or print it at home.
Tap the orange button below to add your photo, then pick a card style.
Some cards are chosen by hand to appear in the community gallery. Only upload photos of other people with their permission, and photos of children only if you are their parent or guardian. Images showing children are never featured. If you don’t want yours featured, see our privacy policy.
Eight card styles to start from
Tap a style and it loads into the box above. Each one leaves some empty space for your
greeting. Change the details to fit your photo — the room, the weather, who is in it.
What makes a good card photo
A card has to work at a glance, often as a small image on a phone screen. The generator
redraws your photo in a new style, so whatever is unclear in the photo stays unclear in
the card.
1. Fewer people, larger faces
Two to four people is the comfortable range. Each face should take up a fair part of the
frame. In a wide group shot, faces are reconstructed from very few pixels and stop
looking like the people in the photo.
2. Light from the front or side
A photo near a window works better than one taken in front of it. Backlit faces and dim
evening photos lose the features the style needs to keep.
3. Add the greeting yourself
Image models often misspell words inside a picture. The card styles above ask for empty
space instead of text, so you can add your greeting and names afterwards in any photo
editor, in your own typeface.
Size and printing
The image is a 1024×1024 pixel square. That is plenty for sending by message or posting
online, and prints cleanly up to about 10×10 cm. For a larger printed card, upscale the
file first.
What usually goes wrong
- Groups of five or more — faces blur into each other
- Asking for names or greetings inside the image — spelling errors
- Small or shadowed faces in the original photo
- Several style words in one prompt — the result looks undecided
If the first result looks off, try a closer crop of the same photo before changing the
style. The photo usually matters more than the prompt.
Before your first card
Is it free?
Yes. A free account includes a set number of generations per period. No credit card is needed.
Can it write my greeting on the card?
It can try, but image models often misspell words inside pictures. The card styles leave empty space so you can add your greeting afterwards in any photo editor.
How many people can be in the photo?
Two to four people give the best results. With larger groups, faces become small and details get lost.
Can I include my pet?
Yes. Pets work well on their own or next to one or two people. For a portrait of the pet alone, the AI Pet Portrait Generator has prompts made for animals.
Can I print it?
Output is a 1024×1024 pixel square. It prints cleanly up to roughly 10×10 cm at 260 dpi. For larger cards, upscale the file before printing.
Can I sell cards made with it?
You can use your cards for personal purposes. For commercial use, read the terms of service first.
